Mutt Snyder beat Freddie Miller by TKO in round 3 of 8

Miller substituted for Bobby Franks, who failed to appear. After a tame first round, Snyder began to get to Miller, hurting him in the round with a right hand to the body. In the 3rd round, Snyder knocked Miller down with a shot to the chin. Miller's corner threw in the towel before the referee's count reached ten.

This was the first recorded fight for Miller, and he would not be stopped again until his final fight in 1940.
