Berlier had boxed well in the first two rounds, though both had been hurt briefly in the 2nd round. In the 3rd round, Kiser hurt Berlier with a right uppercut, and after the two traded, Kiser floored Berlier with a right hook. Berlier rose at the count of nine, and went back to attacking Kiser. Berlier out-boxed Kiser in the 4th round, but injured his left hand, and continued outboxing Kiser in the 5th round. In the 6th round, Kiser caught up to the dancing Berlier with a left to the jaw, that staggered him. Kiser then rained blow on Berlier, and dropped him with a right uppercut. Berlier rose just after the ten-count was administered.
