Near the end of the 1st round, Rovira knocked Calamari down for a six-count with a right hand to the jaw. Rovira then floored him again with a right hand, this time for an eight-count. Calamari was unsteady, and the referee stopped the bout. The bell rang to end the round, as the referee was hoisting Rovira's hand, leading to a few boos from the crowd, as to the timing of the stoppage.
