Berlier outboxed Villa in the first four rounds. He was continuing his dominant ways in the 5th, when he was all but knocked out by a left hook from Villa. The bell rang at the count of five with Berlier, apparently out on the canvas. Berlier's corner revived him though, and he grew stronger as the bout progressed to win the decision.
