The first part of the show began with professional boxing matches, in the Main Event the very tough and experienced Roberto "La Amenaza" Garcia (27-2) 20 KO's, from Reynosa, Tamaulipas, Mexico, was never in any danger against local talent Jaime Santiago "Halcon" Icabalzeta (16-2) 12 KO's.
From the opening bell, the Mexican fighter wasted no time using his quick left jab to set the pace of the fight. Garcia attacked the body and the head with his trade mark left hook, rocking his opponent mid way through the first round. El Haclcon momentarily stunned tried keeping La Amenaza off of him by going toe to toe, after tasting two more straight rights Icabalzeta decided to get on his bicycle for the remainder of the round. The Mexican fighter started the second round right where he left off. One minute into the round La Amenaza finished the fight with a tremendous straight right that landed flush on the jaw, Icabalzeta immediately hit the canvas landing in a squatting position then tilting over face first. Willing himself to his knees while rocking back and forth, he was able to get up at the count of 9, although he was able to stand before the end of the count, he had to hold on to the top rope to keep from wobbling. The referee stopped the fight as Icabalzeta was in no condition to continue.
