Fight Summary

• Johnson had Welliver badly hurt in round one from straight right hands. Johnson came running out of his corner in round two to try to finish Welliver, throwing an immediate left hook to the body. Johnson leaned to the left and Welliver leaned in the same direction. Their heads accidentally clashed, and Welliver sustained two bad cuts over and below the left eye. Johnson was not hurt. This happened in the first five to six seconds of the second round. Referee Russell Mora immediately declared a No Contest as Welliver was unable to continue at that point. The ring doctor had got on the edge of the ring, looked at Welliver's eye and waved the bout off, declaring Welliver could not continue due to injury.
