Bob Woodall 205 lbs lost to Lee Williams 204 lbs by TKO at 1:43 in round 7 of 10
- Date: 1959-03-17
- Location: Boston Garden, Boston, Massachusetts, USA
- Referee: Eddie Connolly
LEE WILLIAMS, the former New England Golden Gloves heavyweight champ, gained a host of new admirers with his hard-hitting victory by TKO over another Golden Gloves champ, Bob Woodall, in the seventh round of their donnybrook which was the best bout from a damage standpoint. Williams started slowly but had Woodall in bad trouble at the end of the second round and had him dazed a few other times before Referee Eddie Connelly stopped the conflict at 1:43 of the seventh. Woodall hurt Williams several times, but the new N. E. pro heavyweight titlist does a good job of covering up when in trouble and managed to stay on his feet. Both bomb throwers weighed at 204.
