• The referee, Bobby Brunette, didn't hear the bell signaling the end of the first round and instructed the fighters to come together after the round ended. Butler, who had not yet recovered from being knocked down at the end of the round, was hit flush on the head with a power shot from Abell, and folded. Butler's corner entered the ring and confronted Brunette and Abell, whereupon Abell's corner entered the ring to defend their man. A brawl ensued. [1]
