In a preliminary bout to the Rigondeaux-Addy main event of a Wednesday night fight card held at BB King's, 7-0 New York City heavyweight Tor Hamer made short work at 1:38 of the first round of last-minute opponent Mazur Ali, an Egyptian fighting out of Brooklyn, a substitution for Dominic Jenkins. Ali, normally a cruiserweight, took this bout at the last minute. A left hook to the body dropped Ali to the canvas in a corner, who got up but indicated to the ringside he could not continue. The crowd booed.

An official at ringside who declined to be identified stated that Jenkins, the originally scheduled heavyweight, had failed a pre-fight physical on Monday with a fractured orbital lobe.
