"Gus Ruhlin and Berny Strapp wound up the show. It had been written that Gus would meet Charlie Gheen for four rounds, but Gheen had taken to the woods, and Strapp was substituted. Berny did not hurt the Akron Giant very severely and the game was a horse play in which Ruhlin showed up in prime form. ... The mill put up by Strapp and Ruhlin was clean and satisfactory."
