Also reported as KO5 and scheduled for 12. According to wire report in Calgary Herald, the bout ended when Roper was knocked out of the ring by Fulton in the 5th round. Roper was carried back into the ring where he regained consciousness, whereupon Fulton approached to shake his hand and was met by a flying stool thrown by an angry Bob Roper. Roper announced to the audience that he had been knocked senseless by his fall not by a punch.
