In a quiet tactical war which was the surprise bout on the undercard of Pavlik-Martinez at Atlantic City's Boardwalk Hall, ex-Olympian Korobov got taken the eight round distance by Snyder. Korobov appeared the aggressor, but the bout turned quiet after the third round as Korobov punched and Snyder, who had a good defense, counterpunched and landed with some effectiveness. Snyder came to win, and Korobov appeared content to outbox Snyder and not take chances. Snyder's 8-4 record appeared deceiving.
