Tapia won a unanimous decision. Tapia had height and reach advantage, and speed with his right jab to win all four rounds, but kept his hands dangerously low, allowing for Winchester to land some counter rights and remain competitive. Winchester had a nosebleed and was down for a no count flash knockdown in the second. Brief scuffle with words exchanged after the bell in round two, and Tapia hit Winchester in the face after the bell, with Winchester warned for foul language. At times, Winchester looked ready to go, but pounded his heart and refused to give up. Tapia landed alot of effective jab combinations, with Winchester landing a few effective counter rights, mostly grabbing and holding on whenever Tapia landed anything.
