In the opening bout on the Pavlik-Martinez fight card at Boardwalk Hall, heavyweight Guinn came forward and won every round, landing jab combinations all night on Nelson, who took a lot of punishment and was decked in the opening stanza. The Nelson camp stopped the bout between rounds as their fighter indicated he was unable to continue.
