Droney hurt Willard with a right to the heart at the end of the opening round. Willard leaned forward to clinch, as he did Droney nailed him with a right uppercut to the chin. As Willard began to fall forward to the canvas, Droney hit him several times to the body, as he sunk to the canvas and was counted out.
