In the main event of a fight card televised from Agua Caliente Casino on ESPN 2, welterweight David Estrada scored an eighth round stoppage of 26-0-1 Orlando Lora. Estrada appeared a different fighter, winning every round unmarked, coming forward and landing fast counter right hands to the head and face that cut up Lora's unprotected face. The ringside doctor stopped the bout in Lora's corner. In the post fight interview with Teddy Atlas, Estrada said he had made changes in his personal life which enabled him to become a more mature fighter. These changes include being represented by CHicago fight manager Wasfi Tolaymat, and trainer "Fearless" Fernando Hernandez.
