Atlantic City lightweight Althea 'Lady Thunder' Saunders won her professional debut with a unanimous four round decision over Ashleigh Curry of St. Joseph, Missouri. After a close first round in which both fighters felt each other out, Saunders was a bit more aggressive in the next three rounds, using a big overhand counter left to score on Curry and the point on points. Saunders was the former 2008 National Police Athletic League amateur champion at 138 pounds.
