In a close four round bantamweight bout, Jose 'Chilli' Rivera of New Rochelle, New York, won a four round unanimous decision over unbeaten Dwayne Larry Jr. of Tampa, Florida. Larry had height and reach advantage, which Rivera neutralized with a low stance. Rivera landed a lot of overhand left power shots and crowded Larry along the ropes in round one, restricting his movement at times. Larry won round two with right-left jab combinations which slowed Rivera down, who countered but did not land as much. In round three, Larry landed a lot of jabs, but kept getting hit by Rivera's power shots. In the fourth round, both fighters battled evenly in center ring.
