Phil Harrison beat Abe Hollandersky by NWS in round 10 of 10

  • Date: 1912-12-09
  • Location: Lawrence Hall, New London, Connecticut, USA
  • According to The Day, "Abe the Newsboy Writes", New London, Connecticut, pg. 18, December 3, 1912, Hollandersky claims to have fought Mitchell, and "held his own", though this could have easily been a sparring match.

Dave Palitz, a frequent opponent of Abe Hollandersky's fought Terry Mitchell as the main event of this fight. Hollandersky later was scheduled to meet Terry Mitchell in October 1912 at the Royal Athletic Club in New York in "Abe Comes to Life", The Day, pg. 10, New London, CT., 17 September 1912, though the match has never been confirmed to have taken place.

It may be safe to assume Hollandersky sparred with Mitchell before or after this fight, as he was at this fight, or they could have sparred previously in Lawrence Hall when Mitchell was in town on November 8, 1912 to fight Palitz.
