Fields knocked Van Ryan down and out of the ring with a right hand in the 2nd round. Van Ryan took an eight-count, and was shortly put down by a short right hand to the jaw. The bell rang to save Van Ryan. Van Ryan was down again for nine in the 3rd round, slipped to the canvas in the 4th, and then was dropped a final time by a left in the 5th round.
