From rounds 2 to 10, Nakash, 25-0, 18 kayos, scored points with left hooks and straight right hands. Barrigan bleeding on the bridge of the nose from round three on, but the nose cut did not impact the bout. Barrigan scored with combinations and counter punches in the early rounds, and threw punches for all ten rounds, but Nakash won the bout on the punch count as he threw more and landed more overall. Both fighters appeared exhausted and easy targets from the middle rounds till the bout's conclusion. With this win, Nakash moved into a bout with cruiserweight contender Bobby Gunn.
