After winning the first five rounds behind his left jab, welterweight Lomax suddenly became in serious trouble with former Ghana champion Okine. A bad clash of heads stunned Lomax with a horrible cut gushing blood nonstop in the center of his forehead and left the bout up for grabs in the final round. The bout was not stopped due to the accidental butt and did not go to the cards. As the sixth and final round played out, Lomax aggressively and desperately swung for a knockout to avoid a stoppage by the referee.
