Featherweight Collado, 11-0, 3 kayos, a Dominican fighter out of Queens, New York, got taken the six round distance by Ledesma, a Columbian fighter out of Miami, Florida, a veteran of 35 pro bouts. Collado slugged it out with Ledesma from the opening bell in round one, landing power shots. Ledesma took a good punch, and landed a few counters, hoping Collado would punch himself out. Round two resulted in cautious fighting in center ring, with Collado fighting patiently and smartly, landing accurate left jabs. Ledesma countered successfully with the right over the Collado left, who wasn't keeping his left hand up. After a few Ledesma counter lefts landed, Collado kept the left hand up. In rounds three and four, Ledesma began to tire, tying Collado up wherever possible. Collado patiently landed power shots in center ring or on the ropes after pinning him, but not punching himself out. In the fifth, both fighters traded bombs in center ring with no offense, making the bout interesting. Ledesma, whose legs were good, caught a breather when Collado got warned for low blows, giving Ledesma a rest period. Ledesma got another rest when Collado's hand tape became loose. Collado opted not to chase Ledesma in the sixth, who got on his bicycle. One judge gave Collado one round. After the bout, Collado, interviewed in both English and Spanish, stated "Ledesma was a good, well-experienced smart fighter. He was running from me and it was hard to catch him." Clean bout, with both fighters emerging in top condition.
