"In the middle of a rough rally the Filipino fell heavily to one knee through tripping on the Criqui corner cuspidor. After that he was not the same factor. The violence of the fall seemed to shake him so that his power faded palpably.... Just before the clang of the gong Criqui swung his opponent to the boards. Dencio rose as the signal for the minute's truce sounded--the count had not gone two seconds. As he moved towards his chair he collapsed and had to be lifted into it.
