Steele knocked Fisher down with a left hook in the 1st round, and again in the 3rd round for a nine-count on a right hand. In the 6th round Steele, battered Fisher and turned to the referee looking for a stoppage. Steele would score a third knockdown in the 9th, on a right hand.
