The house lights went out for some 16 minutes before the start of the 5th round of this bout, broadcast on ESPN-TV's Friday Night Fights program. (The venue was the training facility for the National Hockey League.) Early in the 6th round, Revish's mouthpiece fell out, prompting a short pause in the action a bit later to rinse and re-insert it. Ali was "caught" by a left hook in the final stanza, but survived to win the unanimous decision.
