Zurita edged out the 1st round, according to the Los Angeles Daily News. Armstrong began to pummel Zurita in the 2nd round, and stayed on him the rest of the way. Zurita took a pounding in the 3rd round, and was nearly on the canvas at the bell. Armstrong cut Zurita's right eye to start the 4th round, and then beat him unmercifully until Zurita went down for the count.
