This was a close, "Pier 6 brawl, according to the Miami Daily News. In the 8th round, Everett was bleeding from a cut on his nose, and his left eye was closed. In this round, Everett hurt Bettina with a right hand, that sent him back. Two more follow up right hands by Everett, had Bettina tangled in the ropes, where he was driven to the canvas for an eight-count.
