The Jersey Journal rported that the crowd booed the decision for 15 minutes, and that all the newspapermen ringside felt Candia one. Candia let punches fly from all angles, while taking Todisco's best punches. Todisco's manager Rocco Bufano stated that his fighter had trained for a six-round bout, not a ten-round bout, which left him at a disadvantage.
