Garrett Wilson Versus Pedro Martinez Cruiserweight Bout
- This bout was the preliminary bout to the main event Ronald Cruz versus Allen Conyers at Bally's Hotel and Casino, a seven bout card held on Saturday, February 26, 2012, promoted by Russell Peltz and Peltz Promotions, USBA cruiserweight champion Garrett Wilson scored a third round TKO over game but outmatched fellow Philadelphian Petro Martinez in a nontitle bout. Wilson, in a tuneup for his pending NABF vacant cruiserweight title bout with Andres Taylor to be held at Bally's Hotel and Casino on April 14, 2012, simply came forward throwing bombs with both hands. Martinez had to move well enough to avoid them, but Martinez fought like a sparring partner and stood in front of Wilson for most of the bout. In the third, martinez settled along the ropes. Wilson, offered a free stationary target, blasted away until Martinez fell to the canvas. Martinez beat the count, but was out on his feet, prompting the stoppage. Martinez showed up but was never in this bout. Wilson went to 12-5-1, 6 kayos, while Martinez fell to 6-5, 3 kayos.
