- Benitiez down in round one from a Hilton body punch.
- With less than 10 seconds to go in the fifth, Hilton loses a point for a right hand that strays very low. He was previously warned prior in the fight to keep his punches up.
- Halfway through round six, Hilton catches Benitez with a left hook, wobbling him halfway across the ring and into the ropes, where he pours on the pressure against the trapped Puerto Rican fighter.
- Under heavy pressure against the ropes, Benitez is caught with a big left hook to the body-left hook to the head combination from Hilton that sees him crumpling to the canvas, face first. He weakly attempts to rise after shaking his head, but can only stare vacantly at the referee as he is counted out.
