Bryant Pappas versus Josh Williams Fuel Glove Controversy

• In May 2012 in Poughkeepsie, Pappas lost his first bout, a six round decision to Josh Williams
• After the bout a controversy arose because Williams wore 'Fuel' brand boxing gloves which Pppas claimed were NYSAC regulation but actually were approved for use. Williams was sponsored by Fuel, leading the Pappas camp to claim the gloves might have been tampered with. Poppas appealed to the State of New York Inspector General's office for an investigation of the circumstances.
