Soose knocked Abrams down with a right hand in the 1st round, with Abrams rising at the bell. Abrams then outfought Soose in the 2nd and 3rd round, before flooring him in the 4th round with a right hand. Soose was badly hurt from the punch, and was easily outclassed the remainder of the bout.
