In the preliminary bout to the Hasson versus Armenta bout at Tropicana Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey, Boxing 360's Polish heavyweight prospect Joey Dawejko scored a fourth round stoppage of Edwin Ranquillo. Dawejko traded power shots with Ranquillo for four rounds, getting the best of wild exchanges. Midway through the fourth, an overhand left from Dawejko put the tiring Ranquillo on the canvas. Ranquillo beat the count, but then spit out the mouthpiece in his corner and gave up. Dawejko fought patiently to find his openings, and eventually found them in close in-fighting, successful power shot head shot counters against Ranquillo's wild missing swings.
