Brian Janssen 149 lbs beat Kirkland Laing 147 lbs by KO in round 5 of 10

Janssen was awarded the decision on a knockout when Laing refused to continue after being hit whilst on the floor. After losing the first round, Laing took the next two but in the 4th "looked decidedly uncomfortable and ragged at the bell". Janssen was "attacking fiercely" in the 5th when Laing slipped to one knee. Janssen followed through with the punch. "Laing decided to get to his feet, thought quickly, lay down on the canvas and refused to budge. His trainer made no attempt to treat him as an hurt boxer but simply tried to persuade him to get up" (The Square Ring)
