Kid Chocolate 130 lbs lost to Frankie Klick 128 lbs by TKO at 2:58 in round 7 of 15

Near the end of the 7th round, while fighting at close quarters, Klick landed a short right to Chocolate's jaw that sent him to the canvas. Chocolate went down as if he was shot, his legs lifting above his torso as he hit the canvas. Chocolate rose at the count of six, wobbly and swayed int the ropes. Referee Spud Murphy stopped the bout with two seconds remaining in the round. The stoppage was immediately disputed by Chocolate's handler Moe Fleischer who jumped into the ring claiming he had heard the bell to end the 7th round, which would have saved Chocolate. Amid the confusion, Klick's handler [Ray Carlin]] called for Chocolate's disqualification for his corner entering the ring. The referee informed the officials of his decision as he left the ring, leaving it for the announcer to inform the audience that Klick had won by a stoppage.

Klick had shown little respect for Chocolate's punches in the bout, and had the advantage in all but the 2nd and 6th rounds.
