After six rounds, a spent Arroyo had won only one session on two cards, two on the third. In the seventh, Fuentes moved for the kill. A tired Arroyo was driven to the ropes, where a left hook and right cross staggered him. Harry tried to wobble away, then leaned on Sammy for a breather when a right snapped his head and caused ref Joe Cortez to administer a standing eight. Shortly after, a motionless Arroyo was nailed by a sweeping left hook, pitching onto his face. Cortez ruled a K.O. at 2:22 without bothering to count.
