This was reported to be a very bad decision, according to the Klamath Falls News. The News gave Pothier five rounds, Kick two, and had three even. Pothier did most of the leading in the bout, and forced Klick to miss at will. Klick fought desparately in the last three rounds, using low blows and lacing Pothier in the 9th round.
