Algiers---Consternation swept the audience here when local hero, the newly-fledged French feathers champ, the brilliant Cherif Hamia was laid in the dust by modest Louis Cabo in the opening round. Cabo dropped the Algerian early in the round but Hamia recovered swiftly and returned the fire.
