After an uneventful first round where Frank carried Kemp, and Kemp mostly held, Frank decided to 'end the show' and hit Kemp with one power shot to the head in a corner in round two (the first thrown punch of consequence by Frank), and referee Pete Santiago, surmising the situation, immediately stopped it. Poor match up, Kemp could have been seriously hurt or worse if Frank really wanted to make a fight of it. Excellent refereeing job by Pete Santiago, who, with a great knowledge of fighters and their abilities, stopped this bout as soon as danger appeared and saved the limited Kemp in this mismatch. Despite two years of inactivity due to contractual disputes which ended when his contract expired, the unbeaten Frank still appeared sharp and extremely dangerous. Strangely, the 17-0 Frank 'gave up' on his promising career after this comeback.
