Miller took six out of the eight rounds, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer. Miller was too fast for Paglina, as he put on a fine display of ducking, feinting, and defensive work. Paglina who had advantages in height and reach, did not land more than half a dozen solid punches in the eight rounds.
Miller had talked the Cincinnati boxing commission into using two-minute rounds, an unusual occurrence for Cincinnati.
