According to Sonya Lamonakis the first four rounds of the bout were fought at 3 minute rounds opposed to the normal 2 minute round women boxing is known for. Lamonakis also claimed that the California state athletic commission will change the bout to a NO CONTEST as soon as she fills out the proper paperwork.

Update

The No Contest was never applied as the official result of the fight, Martha Salazar went on to claim the #1 spot on Boxrec and many sanctioning bodies.
