Audley Harrison vs. Derric Rossy Prizefighter Tournament Heavyweight Championship Trophy Final
- In the third and final bout of the 2013 Prizefighter heavyweight tournament, a rejuvenated London fighter Audley Harrison, 41, turned back the clock and dropped an exhausted Derric Rossy of Medford, New York, in the second round, cutting off the ring and trapping him in a corner, where Harrison landed a finishing straight hand to drop Rossy with a delayed reaction, and to win the annual Prizefighter tournament for the second time. Rossy beat the count, but he was out, prompting the stoppage. Harrison, well-trained for this tourney, was a different fighter than the one who lost to David Price in 2012. Ironically, Price was knocked out by Tony Thompson on this same night at Echo Arena in Liverpool, which Harrison discussed in the post fight interview, explaining "on any given night between two heavyweights, Anything can happen."
- Both Harrison and Rossy won their quarterfinal and semifinal matches, but Rossy, who won two split decisions in three round contests, fought two brutal wars, including a win over the tournament favorite Travis Walker, unfortunately but clearly had almost nothing left for the third war with the taller Harrison. Audley stopped Claus Bertino in the first round, then won a rematch with Martin Rogan, and never broke a sweat. Also trying to win the big money prize were noted heavyweight veterans Timo Hoffmann and Albert Sosnowski who competed in the tournament. Seemingly forgotten, Audley Harrison gave British fight fans something to cheer about with his 'comeback', giving them their money's worth.
