Blitman, who entered the bout with a bad gash over his left eye, suffered in training, dropped Brenner with a volley of punches a minute into the round. Brenner took nine, and was met by another volley of punches. Blitman scored the knockout with a terrific left to the pit of the stomach, followed by a right to the head. Brenner fell to the lower strand of the ropes in a neutral corner, before hitting the floor, where he was counted out.
