After being outboxed for most of the first two rounds, Devlin knocked Whalen down with a one-two to the jaw five seconds before the round ended. Whalen was carried to his corner, and sent out for the 3rd round where Devlin knocked out Whalen in the first thirty seconds of the 3rd round, with a right cross to the jaw.
