Cuban Olympic Bronze Medalist Ugas pounded on the head of Williams all night for ten rounds, but Williams shook off his shots and held, and remained in the house for all ten rounds, countering with a jab now and then. Ugas appeared to win nearly every round, but as Williams was in top condition couldn't put him away. Williams held a lot, but referee Randy Neumann kept the bout clean. Williams did try and was 'in the house'.
