According to both the Boston Globe and Boston Herald, this was a close fight. The veteran Robinson, crowded Delaney during much of the bout, as he was able to get around Delaney's jab and work his way inside. With the fight perhaps in the balance, Delaney closed with two strong rounds to finish the fight. The Boston Herald reported that Delaney hurt Robinson with a right hand in the final round.
