Jimmy McLarnin 112 lbs beat Mickey Gill 112 lbs by MD in round 10 of 10

According to contemporary reports, this was McLarnin’s fourth win over Gill in four bouts (a couple were amateur affairs):

“Four times these boys have met. McLarnin has piled up a lead each time. It would be unwise to rematch them. Gill is quite unable to hurt McLarnin and only rare courage and gameness carried him through last night.” — Andy Lytle, Vancouver Sun, Aug. 16, 1924.
“Fighting at 112 pounds, both boys showed class, and are undoubtedly well matched. McLarnin gave signs of greater experience and more strength, but he is no more willing than Gill.” — Vancouver Province
