• Simon took three rounds off during the bout as he paced himself. One judge gave Ajetovic five rounds. Scoring appeared neutral and fair.

Landing hard left jabs, and combinations to the head, former WBO light middleweight and middleweight world champion Simon, age 41, wins the IBF International belt by 12 round decision over Serbia's Geard Ajetovic to go to 29-0 to reenter the world rankings, and made his bid for a world title shot at Bernard Hopkins in 2014. Simon's defense and foot movement were good, and he appeared very well-prepared for the bout.
