From the Nevada State Journal: "Ernie Collins, 173, Reno Indian, won the first two rounds in a four-round preliminary against Newsboy Millich, 178, but was dropped twice in the last two frames and lost the decision. The contest was a rematch between Collins, Nevada light-heavy champion, and the Sacramento valley champion. In a previous encounter, Millich, a clever boxer who has the reach on the Renoite, won a close decision."

Sparr Will Box in City Tonight
Two main fight events will be held tonight in the memorial auditorium for the benefit of the Sacramento Union’s Christmas basket fund. Both bouts are scheduled to go ten rounds.Johnny Bassenelli, Sacramento middleweight, will meet Dale Sparr of Oakland in the last event on the program. Chico Romo of Los Angeles and Al Citrino of San Francisco will mix in the semi windup. They are featherweights.
